1. Think about this:

A healthy school environment pertains to the physical and psychosocial climate of the school.
A healthy school environment is designed to provide a safe place as well as a healthy and supportive environment that fosters learning.

Then reflect on the following:

Describe the factors that make up a school's physical environment.
Describe the factors that make up a school's psychosocial environment.

Write and save your responses to these questions in a word processing document.

 

2. Think about this:

In order to develop and maintain a healthy school environment, there are 5 essential functions a school must perform.
Then reflect on the following questions:

What are the essential functions of a healthy school environment?
What are some important policies a school might have in order to maintain a safe and supportive learning environment?

Write and save your responses to these questions in a word processing document.  

 

3. Think about this:

There are key individuals within a school system who are responsible for creating and maintaining a health school environment.

Then reflect on the following question:

Who are the key individuals within a school who implement the policies of the school relative to its healthy environment?

Describe their roles and tell what these people do that makes them so influential.

Write and save your responses to this question in a word processing document.
