E-mail Assignment: Family and Community

Assume the role of either a PE teacher, HE teacher, elementary classroom teacher, school nurse, school counselor, or school principal. Indicate in your E-mail the role you have chosen.

In a word processing document, write and save your ideas on the following concepts. Describe how you would involve the family and community in addressing the health risk behavior of youth of the "lack of physical activity." What are the barriers to involving the community/parents that you would have to overcome?

In your answer, demonstrate that you have read chapter 4 of the text and are also using at least two web sites. Be specific. Limit one or two paragraphs.

E-mail your answer to the instructor labeled, "Family and Community."
