VCC Assignment: Recommendations for Implementation

You have just completed a course where the concept of Coordinated School Health has been presented and studied. On the one hand, coordinating the efforts of the 8 components in order to improve the health and well being of children seems very basic. On the other hand, with the pressures on schools to improve the reading, writing, and arithmetic skills of students and the limited budget, it almost seems beyond the reach of most schools to implement a quality CSHP.

Read Chapter 13 in the text. Then draw from course materials and your own personal/professional experiences to answer the following:

Is the implementation of the CSHP model in schools realistic?

How has the study of CSHP affected your thoughts and attitudes?

Do you have a clear understanding of where to begin?
