BA501 : The Class : Quantitative Methods and Planning
Quantitative Methods and Planning

If you have already registered and this is your first time in the course, you should:

  1. Make sure you meet the technical requirements listed on the help page and get the required plug-ins.

  6. Complete the Web Course Boot Camp.

The majority of the coursework can be found within "the class." You can also communicate with others in the course, view additional resources from Cline Library, or get technical help.

It is recommended that you use NetScape 4.7x (not 6.x) to view this site and open files in Word or Excel. Internet Explorer 5.x may give you an error message such as "Enter Network Password" or "Please enter your authentication information." Click "cancel" and the file should open.

Learning Style Survey Upon completion ofthe survey, you will receive an analysis of your learning style. You will also be provided with some recommendations to match your learning style with the appropriate learning strategies. In most browsers, you can print out your results from File-Print.


Objectives:
These are the objectives for the class:

  1. Study statistics material in the text and on-line to gain a basic understanding of beginning business statistics.

  2. Utilize knowledge gained in the statistics module to solve problems in statistics and in the production operation management (POM) module using Excel.

  3. Study POM material in the text and on-line to gain an understanding of the basic topics of POM.

Determination of Course grade:

Statistics homework: 30%

Statistics Mid-term exam (taken on-line): 20%

POM homework: 30%

POM Final exam (taken on-line and does not include statistics material): 20%
