Adding Graphics

Add a Graphic from the WWW

  1. Have both HyperStudio and your web browser running and go into the browser.
  2. When you find a graphic you want to use from the web, move your arrow to the center of the graphic and click and hold the mouse button (or right-click on a PC).
  3. When a menu appears, select copy this Image and let go of button.
  4. Go back into HyperStudio, go to the card where you want the graphic, and from the Edit menu select Paste.

Add from Clip Art

  1. From the File menu select Add Clip Art and click OK.
  2. Select the clip art file you wish to open.
  3. Choose or and select the area of the clip art you wish to use and click on OK.

Create Original Artwork

  1. Use the painting tools of HyperStudio or another program to create your own artwork.

Scan an Image

  1. Click here for instructions on using a scanner.

Grab an Image from Videotape or Laserdisc

  1. Go to an AV Mac or a PC with a video grabber card.
  2. Make sure there is a VCR or Laserdisc player next to the computer.
  3. Click here for help using a Pioneer Laserdisc player.
  4. Connect the “video out” from the VCR or Laserdisc player to the “video in” on the computer.
  5. Start your HyperStudio stack and go to the card where you want the image.
  6. From the File menu select Add Clip Art then select Video.
  7. Cue the VCR or laserdisc player to the desired position and click OK when you want to grab the image on screen.
  8. Choose or and select the area of the clip art you wish to use and click on OK.
